How your government works


There was a monkey in each tree.
In each tree there was a monkey.
The auditors packed up their calculators
and laptops and left in disbelief.

The audit had been a resounding success.
We had managed to have a monkey
in each tree and we had enough
trees, so that each monkey comfortably
had his own tree.

The numbers were undeniable.

It wasn’t some cheap accounting trick.

Later, we were given the job of eliminating
the Federal Deficit.
